Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in software development • Solid foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS or Python • Experience with a Front End UI Framework (e.g., Vue, React, Svelte) or a web framework (e.g., Flask, FastAPI) • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Proficiency in a low-level language such as Java, Kotlin, C, C++, or Rust. • Familiarity with low-level Linux system protocols, firmware, and ECUs. • Experience developing tools that support operations. • $153,000 - $230,000 a year
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain the operational tools used in software development processes within Zoox. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements for tool enhancements and new features. • Troubleshoot issues related to existing tools or systems, providing timely solutions that minimize downtime. • Test the operational tools regularly in various environments to ensure reliability and performance standards are met. • Document processes, workflows, and best practices for using the developed tools effectively within Zoox's software development lifecycle. • Stay updated with emerging technologies that could impact or improve existing toolsets; provide recommendations based on research findings. • Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards across all operational tools and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. • Engage with the Zoox community, including internal teams and external partners, through presentations, workshops, or webinars about tool development methodologies and best practices.
Benefits
• There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
