Requirements
• 4+ years of frontend engineering experience with modern JavaScript (vanilla) or frameworks such as React, Vue, SvelteKit or Next.js. • Strong command of modern TypeScript in a complex B2B or technical product environment. • Experience with AI developer tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, etc.). • Proven track record shipping scalable, user-friendly interfaces in fast-moving environments. • Solid understanding of frontend performance, testing, and CI/CD practices. • Comfortable working directly with users — you can run a discovery conversation and translate what you hear into product decisions. • Comfortable making progress when the path isn't fully defined — you can scope, prioritise, and ship without waiting for perfect clarity. • Clear communicator who collaborates well across a team, including with non-technical stakeholders. • Background in B2B SaaS platforms or construction / procurement tech. • Familiarity with GCP or data-heavy product architectures. • An eye for UI/UX design — experience contributing to or driving design decisions. • German language skills (bonus, not required). • Working at Scalera • Working at Scalera • This is a remote position. Responsibilities
• Lead frontend development with React and Next.js, building interfaces that make AI-driven procurement workflows accessible and intuitive. • Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and integrations, ensuring seamless data flow between services and UI. • Own frontend performance, accessibility, and code quality — setting standards and maintaining them as the product scales. • Work directly with users and customers to understand pain points and translate them into product improvements. • Ship features end-to-end: from problem discovery through implementation, testing, and production. • Contribute to UI/UX decisions. You don't need to be a designer, but you should have strong instincts for what makes a complex interface work.
