Requirements
• Deep technical skills in data security and AI technologies. • Experience leading complex deployments and pilots for high stakes customer engagements. • Ability to map a customer’s data and identity reality including key data stores, flows, access patterns, and risk hotsp01ts. • Designing and implementing secure deployments across various environments (cloud, on-premise). • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP integrations as well as experience in building new ones leveraging AI tooling like Claude code when needed. • Ability to translate data security posture signals into prioritized remediation plans focusing on least privilege and anomalous activity response strategies. • Experience partnering with Sales for technical workshops, threat reviews, architecture sessions that build trust and momentum without being salesy. • Mentorship experience in guiding other Forward Deployed Engineers towards excellence in customer empathy and execution. • Skills to create reusable assets such as deployment playbooks, demo environments, reference architectures, troubleshooting guides based on field patterns for roadmap input and shipped improvements.
Responsibilities
• Own outcomes for high stakes customer engagements • Lead technical discovery to map a customer’s data and identity reality • Drive successful pilots and proofs of concept from blank slate to measurable value • Design and implement secure deployments across cloud, on-premise environments including AWS, Azure, GCP, and on premise patterns • Integrate Symmetry into customer ecosystems such as identity systems, data platforms, and security tooling using AI tools like Claude code when necessary • Translate data security posture and identity risk signals into prioritized remediation plans including least privilege access reduction and anomalous activity response measures • Partner with Sales to run technical workshops, threat and risk reviews, architecture sessions that build trust and momentum without being salesy • Handle the hard questions about how data security works in real environments and long term outcome arcs • Mentor other Forward Deployed Engineers setting standards for technical excellence, customer empathy, and execution • Build reusable assets such as deployment playbooks, demo environments, reference architectures, troubleshooting guides
