Requirements
• You are genuinely motivated by the mission. You want to do legal work that matters — and at BridgeBio, it does. • You hold a J.D. from a nationally recognized law school and are admitted to practice law in the U.S. • You bring 10+ years of legal experience in pharmaceutical or biotech, with meaningful exposure to commercial operations, product launch, and cross-functional legal support — at a law firm, a company, or both. You have operated across multiple legal domains, not just one. • Your legal knowledge is broad and applied — commercial healthcare law, AKS, FCA, FDA promotional regulations, contracts, and the practical judgment to navigate employment, IP, and operational matters by knowing when to engage the right specialist and how to frame the issue clearly. • You have supported at least one commercial product launch — ideally more. You understand the pace, the cross-functional dynamics, and what it takes to give a commercial organization the legal support it needs to move at speed without cutting corners. This is a requirement, not a preference. • You communicate with precision and confidence across all levels — whether advising a field team, sitting in an MLR, presenting to affiliate leadership, or escalating a complex matter to senior legal counsel. People always know where you stand and why. • You are the lawyer people want to call, not the one they dread. You build real relationships with the teams you support — and those relationships are what make you effective. • Bay Area (Palo Alto or San Francisco) strongly preferred. Remote candidates with a genuine commitment to regular Bay Area travel will be considered for exceptional candidates — and relocation support is available for the right person. • At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states. • $215,000 - $253,000 USD • As a global company, our comprehensive benefits may vary based on location. We have high expectations for our team members. We make sure those working hard for patients are rewarded and cared for in return. • For USA based roles:
Responsibilities
• At BridgeBio each product is not just a business unit. To serve patients in need and be nimble we believe each product deserves its own affiliate, with a central hub providing the necessary services. As Lead Affiliate Counsel, you are the legal face of BridgeBio to one or more of these affiliates. You own the relationship with affiliate leadership, quarterback the full scope of legal support across the BridgeBio legal team, and ensure your affiliate operates with confidence on every legal matter — from commercial strategy to compliance to contracts to employment. You are a trusted advisor and integrator first, and a specialist second. • Affiliate Legal Partnership • Serve as the single point of legal contact for one or more affiliate heads — their first call on any legal matter, regardless of subject area, and the person who ensures nothing falls through the cracks • Quarterback legal support across the BridgeBio legal team — knowing when to handle matters directly and when to pull in specialists across commercial, employment, IP, regulatory, or finance law, while maintaining ownership of the relationship and quality of the work product • Provide strategic legal counsel across the full scope of affiliate activities — commercial strategy, HCP and HCO engagement, promotional materials, patient programs, payer and market access, contracts, and operational matters — with the breadth of a general counsel and the judgment to know which issues require deeper specialist engagement • Work across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, HR, Compliance, and Regulatory functions both within the affiliate and across BridgeBio to drive issues to resolution efficiently — the affiliate should always feel that legal has it handled • MLR & Promotional Review • Participate as a member of the Material Review Committee (MLR), collaborating with Medical Affairs and Regulatory to ensure promotional and scientific materials are accurate, balanced, and compliant — bringing legal judgment that is enabling, not obstructive • Help the business communicate effectively about its medicines — finding the path to yes wherever possible, and explaining clearly when the answer must be no • Partner with Compliance and Regulatory to develop and continuously improve MLR processes and standards that scale with a growing, multi-product commercial organization • Risk & Compliance Partnership • Identify and flag legal and reputational risk across affiliate activities proactively — before issues escalate — and work with the right people across the legal team to address them • Partner with the Head of Compliance on healthcare fraud and abuse matters — AKS, FCA, and related considerations — ensuring legal and compliance work in lockstep to give the affiliate consistent, coherent guidance • Be the person the affiliate can always reach — responsive, decisive, and clear. In a fast-moving commercial environment, good legal counsel means knowing when to move quickly and when to slow down • WHAT THIS ROLE REQUIRES • You are motivated by the patients at the end of every decision. You chose this work because it matters — and at BridgeBio, the connection between legal excellence and patient impact is not abstract. It is real. • You are a natural quarterback. You are energized — not stressed — by being the person who owns the relationship and coordinates the work. You know how to pull in the right people, maintain quality, and keep the affiliate informed without creating noise. • You are broad by nature. You are as comfortable thinking through a contracts question as a promotional compliance issue or an employment matter. You do not need to be the expert in every room — but you need to know which expert to call, and you need the affiliate to trust that you have it covered. • You think from first principles and lead with solutions. When a business leader comes to you with a problem, your first instinct is to find the right path forward — not to explain why it is complicated. BridgeBio moves fast and the legal function needs to move with it. • You earn trust through presence, judgment, and reliability. Affiliate leaders should think of you the way they would think of a trusted advisor — someone who knows their business, anticipates their needs, and never leaves them wondering where things stand. • You are resilient, adaptable, and intellectually curious — energized by the breadth and pace of a multi-product, multi-affiliate environment, not flattened by it.
