Requirements

• BS or MS or equivalent experience in computer science or other software development related field • 3-5+ years of relevant experience (BS degree), or 1-2+ years (MS) • Fluent in Java and its ecosystem, including object-oriented programming (OOP) principles • Demonstrated experience writing maintainable, well documented code and APIs • Specific demonstrated experience in Linux and container-based software (e.g., Docker) • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance • Even Better: • Demonstrated experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines • Experience using Python • Demonstrated ability to adopt new languages, libraries, and technologies • Experience in intelligence or military-related mission areas • Active security clearance • STR is a growing defense technology company. Responsibilities

• Architect & Lead: Define the technical vision and architectural roadmap for flexible microservices within a robust DevSecOps ecosystem. • Architect & Lead: • Steer Deployment: Lead the critical transition of mature mission planning solutions from R&D prototypes into production-grade systems deployed within active user communities. • Steer Deployment: • Bridge the Gap: Act as the primary technical liaison between PhD scientists and the engineering team, translating complex mathematical models into scalable, maintainable software architectures. • Bridge the Gap: • Mentor & Elevate: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of code excellence, rigorous peer review, and continuous learning. • Mentor & Elevate: • Drive Strategy: Beyond a single project, you will help shape the technical direction of the portfolio, identifying new technologies and methodologies to keep STR at the cutting edge. • Drive Strategy:
