Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain tier 0 systems that are secure, scalable, and highly available. • tier 0 • Take ownership of backend infrastructure that powers core trust and security features at Postman. • Work with your manager and senior team members to evolve the technical roadmap for the Product Trust team and guide architectural decisions. • roadmap • Contribute to product design by bringing in a security and trust lens to every feature we ship. • Lead engineering best practices in code quality, observability, incident response, and system reliability. • Mentor engineers within the team and support hiring, onboarding, and planning efforts. • 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering roles, ideally in platform or security-focused domains. • Expertise with Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and web frameworks (e.g., React) along with solid web fundamentals. • Node.js • TypeScript/JavaScript • web frameworks • Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases (SQL/NoSQL), web services, and backend architecture. • distributed systems • databases • web services • Passion for building products that are secure by design and delightfully simple for users. • secure by design • Demonstrated experience driving projects from ideation to production. • Strong system design, problem-solving, and debugging skills. • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across team boundaries. • Experience with mentoring engineers or leading small teams is a strong plus.

We are in office 5 days a week for all roles based out of our hubs in San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, Tokyo and London. For roles based in Bangalore, employees currently work in the office three days a week and will transition to five days per week by the end of the year.
