The New York Times - Senior Software Engineer, Developer Platforms

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • 2+ years of experience improving developer experience through workflows, documentation, and capabilities of the internal platform. • Experience designing and building cloud native applications using Golang • Hands-on experience building software using GenAI tools, like GitHub's Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code. • 3+ years of hands on experience managing and deploying resources in AWS. • 2+ years of experience managing workloads deployed on Kubernetes. • Experience in prompt engineering or building AI-powered tools. • This role requires limited on-call hours. An on-call schedule will be determined when you join, taking into account team size and other variables. • The annual base pay range for this role is between: • $140,000 - $160,000 USD • For roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.
