Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong understanding of local audience storytelling, and a passion for Axios’ mission, and have the following skills: • Worthy of your time: • Writing experience in a branded, local editorial, or community-focused content capacity • Passion for thought leadership, service journalism, and storytelling on behalf of brands • Demonstrated ability to research and brainstorm themes and messaging that align with client goals and resonate with specific local audiences • Strong understanding of how to translate brand messaging into stories that feel relevant, useful, and authentic in local markets • Ability to work across multiple markets, industries, and campaign types while maintaining quality and consistency • Strong editorial judgment and the ability to identify the most audience-relevant angle within a sponsor’s message • Comfort with live interviews to assist in the creation and production of branded content • Familiarity working on small creative teams to create client-driven materials • Design, infographic, social video or AI-assisted content workflow skills are a plus • Starting salary for this role is in the range of $55,000 - $85,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills.
