Requirements
• At least 6+ years of experience, with 4+ in Workforce Management • Strong data analysis skills, turning data insights into action and highly proficient in SQL • Experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably a startup • Proven experience working within Zendesk and other Customer Support systems • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Ability to move remarkably fast with little structure and guidance
Responsibilities
• Oversee workforce operations to ensure efficient staffing across various departments within Whatnot's Central Operations division in Los Angeles, CA. This includes managing schedules and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. • Develop strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and development by identifying skill gaps, recruiting qualified candidates, providing training programs, and implementing employee engagement initiatives to enhance workforce productivity within the specified hubs (New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA). • Collaborate with department heads and team leaders to align staffing needs with business objectives. This involves analyzing operational data, forecasting labor requirements, and adjusting schedules accordingly while maintaining a focus on cost efficiency without compromising service quality or employee well-being within the 50 miles radius of each hub location. • Monitor workforce performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in staff utilization, productivity levels, absenteeism rates, and turnover trends across different departments while ensuring compliance with labor regulations specific to California state laws where applicable within the 50 miles radius of each hub location. • Act as a liaison between employees and management by addressing workforce concerns related to scheduling conflicts, job satisfaction issues, or performance problems through direct communication channels established for this purpose while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with company policies regarding employee privacy within the 50 miles radius of each hub location. • Participate in regular meetings and strategic planning sessions alongside department heads to review workforce operations data trends, discuss staffing challenges or opportunities for optimization across various departments while ensuring alignment with business objectives without compromising service quality within the 50 miles radius of each hub location. • Provide leadership by mentoring junior managers and team leaders in effective communication skills to enhance employee engagement initiatives, conflict resolution techniques, performance management practices, as well as fostering a positive work environment that promotes professional growth while maintaining compliance with labor regulations specific to California state laws within the 50 miles radius of each hub location. • Manage and resolve conflicts between employees or departments by facilitating open communication channels for mediation purposes without compromising employee privacy, confidentiality policies as per company guidels while ensuring compliance with labor regulations specific to California state laws within the 50 miles radius of each hub location. • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to meet individual skill gaps identified during performance evaluations or recruitment processes without compromising service quality, employee well-being, productivity levels while maintaining compliance with labor regulations specific to California state laws within the 50 miles radius of each hub location. • Oversee and
