INflow Federal - DevOps Automation Engineer
Requirements
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation • Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline) • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) • Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, RMF, and DISA STIG compliance • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash • Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC) and secure identity/access controls (IAM, KMS) • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities across distributed systems • Excellent collaboration and communication skills within Agile delivery teams • Detail-oriented approach emphasizing security, performance, and automation efficiency • Ability to manage and optimize systems in compliance-driven cloud environments • Commitment to innovation, automation, and mission-focused delivery • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or DevSecOps-related certification • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience • Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering, DevSecOps, or platform operations within secure DoD or federal environments • Experience supporting or automating low-code platform deployments in AWS GovCloud or equivalent IL-classified environments • Demonstrated expertise in cloud automation, configuration management, and continuous integration • Active DoD Top Secret clearance • Some travel may be required: Must have valid driver’s license and transportation. Responsibilities
• Maintain and optimize a secure low-code application platform and its associated infrastructure across cloud-hosted IL environments • Develop and implement automation workflows for provisioning, configuration management, and continuous integration/delivery • Create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and scripts using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible • Integrate automated compliance, patching, and scanning processes aligned with RMF and DISA STIG requirements • Implement and sustain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, secure delivery of applications and system updates • Automate performance monitoring, alerting, and logging through tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Grafana • Manage system hardening and vulnerability remediation workflows to ensure continuous compliance • Support cloud services and resources including compute, networking, and storage configurations across IL2–IL5 environments • Collaborate with platform engineers and security teams to ensure automation processes support Zero Trust and RMF standards • Develop scripts to streamline data synchronization, backup, and recovery processes • Maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and automation scripts • Participate in Agile sprint activities and Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives
