Wellhub - Director Software Engineer (Hands-On) | Clients
Requirements
• Proven experience managing and mentoring multiple high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced, product-focused environment. • Strong architectural background, with a track record of designing and scaling complex, distributed systems and modern web applications. • Deep experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and a solid understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns. • Proficient in designing RESTful APIs and leading cross-functional collaboration between frontend and backend teams. • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design. • Experienced in relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB), with an understanding of scaling and performance best practices. • Able to set a clear technical vision, communicate it effectively across teams, and ensure alignment with business strategy. • Proficient in one or more backend languages (e.g., Java, Ruby, Go, C++); Golang experience is a plus. • Strong communicator capable of influencing across functions and geographies, with fluency in English and experience leading globally distributed teams. • We recognize that individuals approach job applications differently.
