Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in Financial Services, Payments, or Fintech environments • Proven experience in designing and implementing automated, event-driven accounting frameworks based on transaction-level messaging data • Exposure to ERP systems and associated O2C, P2P and R2R processes • Understanding of data models and data architectures including master data management • Preferably experience with technology-led financial services (e.g., e-money, digital wallets, settlement platforms) or financial products • An understanding of payments business models, funds flow architecture, and FX (foreign exchange) operations would also be helpful • Skills in BPMN 2.0 process mapping using tools such as Visio • Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence and comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments • Experienced in documenting requirements and writing user stories • Experienced in managing testing and defect resolution, including UAT • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills including ability to communicate findings and proposals clearly using PowerPoint presentations • Personal Attributes • Personal Attributes • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge and add value. • Proactive and adaptable, capable of working both independently and collaboratively. • Ability to meet tight deadlines while prioritising and managing a varied workload. • A strong team player who thrives in a professional yet friendly environment. • Strong academic background, including a university degree • Preferable to have accountancy qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA

Responsibilities

• Lead Payment Operations Transformation: Own and drive transformation initiatives across Payment Operations, focusing on process redesign, automation, and AI-led optimization to improve scalability, efficiency, and control. • Lead Payment Operations Transformation: • Design and Implement Automation Solutions: Take a hands-on approach in identifying manual workflows and building solutions using automation tools, AI platforms, macros (e.g., Excel/VBA), and low-code/no-code technologies to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce operational overhead. • Design and Implement Automation Solutions: • Act as a Strategic Transformation Partner: Represent Payment Operations in cross-functional initiatives (Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance), ensuring new implementations (networks, partners, merchants) are designed with scalable, automated, and future-ready operational models. • Act as a Strategic Transformation Partner: • Embed Scalable Operational Design: Ensure all new payment integrations and launches are operationally robust, minimizing manual intervention and enabling long-term scalability from day one. • Embed Scalable Operational Design: • Leverage Data, Tooling, and AI for Continuous Improvement: Use data analysis, scripting, and AI-driven insights to proactively optimize transaction flows, reconciliation processes, exception handling, and reporting. • Leverage Data, Tooling, and AI for Continuous Improvement: • Maintain Deep Payment Operations Expertise: Bring strong domain knowledge across digital wallets, local payment methods, and carrier billing to inform both transformation initiatives and operational decisions. • Maintain Deep Payment Operations Expertise: • Collaborate Cross-Functionally for End-to-End Optimization: Partner with Commercial, Finance, Tax, Product, and Engineering teams to improve settlement flows, reconciliation accuracy, cash flow management, and operational efficiency. • Collaborate Cross-Functionally for End-to-End Optimization: • Own Operational Processes and Outcomes: Oversee key processes including transaction processing, settlements, reconciliations, chargebacks, and exception management, ensuring stability while driving continuous improvement. • Own Operational Processes and Outcomes: • Manage and Evolve Partner Operations: Build and maintain relationships with payment service providers, digital wallet partners, MNOs, and acquirers, while evolving operational processes in line with partner capabilities and business growth. • Manage and Evolve Partner Operations: • Ensure Compliance and Operational Controls: Maintain adherence to regulatory and internal requirements (AML, PSD2, local regulations) while embedding controls into automated and transformed processes. • Ensure Compliance and Operational Controls: • Define and Track Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs (e.g., transaction success rates, reconciliation accuracy, settlement timeliness), using insights to drive measurable transformation outcomes. • Define and Track Performance Metrics:
