We own and evolve the platforms and services that sit at the center of the product and company operations, including: • Authentication (registration, login, account access, and user lifecycle workflows) • Authentication • Data privacy and trust systems (privacy requests, user deletions, and secure handling of sensitive data) • Data privacy and trust systems • AI enablement (shared AI infrastructure and tools that other teams leverage to build great product experiences) • AI enablement • Internal tooling (admin tooling, operational systems, and data integrations that keep our operations & engineering teams effective) • Internal tooling • We care deeply about correctness, resiliency, and making the “paved path” the easiest path. If you like building high-leverage systems that others depend on, this team is for you. • Auth & identity: Auth0, OAuth, SSO, session management • Auth & identity: • AI enablement / LLMOps: model gateways, prompt tooling, provider integrations • AI enablement / LLMOps:

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Core services and platforms that power foundational systems like authentication, data privacy workflows, AI enablement, and internal tooling. • Core services and platforms • Own projects end-to-end: problem definition, technical design, implementation, rollout, and ongoing reliability. • Partner closely with product engineers, data teams, and operations partners to create systems that are safe, scalable, and pleasant to use. • safe, scalable, and pleasant to use • Improve reliability and observability across critical workflows by instrumenting services, debugging production issues, and raising engineering standards. • reliability and observability • Help define and strengthen the platform patterns other teams use (APIs, libraries, service templates, authentication patterns). • platform patterns • Write clear design docs and RFCs, participate in code reviews, and contribute to a culture of thoughtful feedback and continuous improvement. • You have 7+ years of professional experience working with some combination of Node.js/TypeScript, React (or similar framework), and Postgres (or similar relational database). Experience with GraphQL is a plus. • You're not just interested in what you're building, but also why you're building it. You want to see the bigger picture of how the software you‘re building is benefitting our users. • You are highly autonomous. You can take an ambiguous problem, align with stakeholders, and drive it to a reliable production outcome. • You are an early adopter of AI-assisted engineering workflows and consider these tools a core part of how you ship. You use tools like Claude Code, Cursor (or similar) to accelerate exploration, implementation, debugging, and iteration while maintaining strong engineering judgment. • You’re effective in a large organization, building trust across teams, untangling ownership and dependencies, and maintaining momentum from ambiguity through execution. • You understand how observability impacts reliability and enjoy digging into the details to solve performance, data accuracy, and user experience issues. • You have a collaborator’s mindset and dig deep to understand nuanced and multi-faceted problems and tenaciously break them down into tractable pieces. You love giving and receiving feedback, and considering new and novel ideas.
