Requirements
• Skills needed: Senior Machine Learning Engineer with experience in pricing models and algorithms for dynamic pricing. Experience using Python libraries such as TensorFlow/Keras is a plus. Familiarity with machine learning concepts like regression analysis, classification, clustering, etc., would be beneficial but not mandatory. • Years of experience: 5+ years in the field preferably within similar roles or industries that require pricing optimization using ML techniques. Experience working on large datasets and handling real-time data processing is an advantage. • Education: Bachelor's degree (Bachelors) with a strong background in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or related field preferred but not mandatory as the role requires practical experience which can be gained through work history equivalent to 5+ years of relevant professional development and learning opportunities. • Certifications: None stated explicitly required for this position; however, a certification in Machine Learning (ML) could enhance your application if you have one but it's not mandatory as per the job posting provided. • Must-haves: Experience working remotely and ability to collaborate effectively with team members from different locations is required for this role; must be comfortable using remote communication tools like Zoom, Slack or Microsoft Teams etc., which are commonly used in a distributed work environment.
Responsibilities
• Translate complex business problems into solutions that leverage end-to-end, production-level machine learning systems • Develop, iterate on, and productionize machine learning models, owning both model logic and supporting systems. • Implement and own backend pricing services and APIs consumed by the Lime App. • Architect and build scalable, reliable platforms and services that power pricing decisions and enable new product initiatives. • Build trust with leadership to influence the company's pricing strategy through reasoning and communication of model performance and technical vision • Collaborate with other Software Engineers and Data Scientists to raise the bar on ML standards and Engineering Excellence • Mentor and support engineers on the team, helping grow technical depth and develop future leaders.

This role sits at the intersection of ML modeling, backend systems, and product decision-making, with direct ownership of models that ship, learn, and evolve in production. You’ll work on ambitious initiatives, scale successful products, and help define the future of pricing at Lime. • This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates residing in Canada to maintain effective collaboration across teams.
