Requirements
• THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports. Deliver clear financial insights to internal stakeholders and support leadership reporting. • Close Management: Lead components of the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis, ensuring precision and timely completion. • Automation & Process Improvement: Partner with Finance Systems to streamline processes and implement automation solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy. • AI & Scalable Solutions: Hands-on experience applying automation and AI tools to modernize accounting operations and eliminate manual work. Builder mindset with a track record of creating scalable, efficient finance processes. • Compliance & Controls: Maintain a strong internal control environment aligned with SOX standards. Identify risks and enhance automated controls where appropriate. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with finance, operations, treasury and other business partners to ensure alignment on accounting policies and business initiatives. • Audit Support: Serve as the key point of contact for external auditors, preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation to ensure smooth audit execution. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA preferred. • Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and technical accounting standards. • Combination of public accounting and experience in the fintech or technology sector is highly preferred. • Proven experience with ERP Software (ex. NetSuite) and exposure to automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, BlackLine, FloQast, or similar). • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail. • Drive and proactivity - everyone here is a builder and executor • WHAT IT’S LIKE WORKING @ ONE • Our teams collaborate remotely and in our work spaces in New York and Sacramento. • Competitive cash - we don’t discount based on location
