Requirements
• 7+ years’ experience in US derivatives trading, structuring, or exchange leadership (crypto, FX, or traditional markets - focused within the US). • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex, high-impact products • Expertise in derivatives market microstructure, risk management, and incentive frameworks. • Strong product vision for retail derivatives, including event-driven contracts and gamified/prediction markets. • Familiarity with API-driven trading ecosystems and the requirements of high-frequency and retail traders alike. • Comfort navigating complex and evolving US derivatives regulatory environments. • Detailed knowledge of trading market participants, their different incentives and constraints. • Exceptional knowledge of the US CFTC DCMs and their product and exchange functional offerings. • Strong knowledge of global crypto derivative offerings across traditional markets and crypto-native CeFi & DeFi. • Macro-to-micro versatility: strategic mindset coupled with obsessive attention to detail. • Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. • Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. • We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. • Kraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives.
