Proven experience organizing events (virtual or in-person), field/community marketing, for tech companies
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects across time zones
Strong vendor negotiation and contract familiarity
Comfortable with international logistics: shipping swag, foreign vendors, cross-border payments
Self-starter, autonomous, comfortable working in a remote, asynchronous environment
Some ability for international travel. You won’t necessarily need to attend all of the events, but you’ll need the ability to go to them if you need to be there
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus if you have experience in SaaS, data analytics tools, or open-source communities
Bonus if you speak multiple languages (e.g. Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, etc.)

Responsibilities
Manage and organize global community events for Metabase's platform to engage users worldwide.
Develop strategies to promote event participation across various marketing channels including social media, email campaigns, webinars, etc.
Collaborate with the content team to create compelling promotional materials that highlight key features and benefits of events hosted on Metabase's platform.
Monitor engagement metrics for past community events (e.g., attendance rates, participant feedback) to identify successful strategies and areas for improvement in future event planning.
Coordinate with the technical team to ensure seamless integration of live streaming tools or other technologies that enhance user experience during virtual meetups.
Engage directly with community members through social media platforms, email communication, webinars, etc., fostering a sense of belonging and active participation within Metabase's global network.
Analyze data from various sources to identify trends in event attendance patterns or user preferences that can inform future marketing strategies for upcoming events.
Stay informed about industry developments related to community engagement, virtual meetups, and online networking tools relevant to Metabase's platform; share insights with the team through regular reports or presentations.
