Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with fellow engineers to develop and maintain the Scholarly product. We start off most efforts as pair/group tickets or projects and then scale down to individuals as we understand the scope of work better. • Participate in the on-call rotation. On-call is a weekly rotation that we invest in making smooth. • Weigh in on product decisions. Engineers implementing designs and customer requests are left with a lot of nuance and discretion, and we expect our engineers to think critically about the different product tradeoffs we might be making. • Own engineering efforts end-to-end. Our jobs as engineers aren't done when the code is shipped, but when the customer is happy.
