Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 6 years of specialized experience supporting enterprise GIS, geospatial architecture, or geospatial solution design. • Experience designing and implementing ArcGIS Enterprise environments. • Experience supporting enterprise geospatial governance, data management, and system integration initiatives. • Experience architecting geospatial solutions within cloud or hybrid environments. • Experience supporting geospatial web services, dashboards, and enterprise GIS applications. • Knowledge of GIS data models, geospatial databases, and enterprise geospatial workflows. • Experience supporting cybersecurity, access control, and compliance requirements within enterprise systems. • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Ability to work independently and support multiple priorities simultaneously. • Experience with ArcGIS GeoEvent Server. • Experience supporting Kubernetes-based environments. • Experience supporting cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Experience integrating GIS platforms with enterprise data lakes, catalogs, or analytics platforms. • Experience supporting federal government geospatial programs. • Esri technical certifications. • Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Due to the nature of the work we support, all candidates in consideration for this role must be willing to undergo the government issued background investigation process. Responsibilities
• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise geospatial solutions. • Support deployment, configuration, and optimization of ArcGIS Enterprise and GeoEvent Server environments. • Design and maintain enterprise GIS architectures supporting cloud-native and hybrid environments. • Lead migration of geospatial applications, services, and data into cloud-based infrastructure. • Support integration of geospatial systems with enterprise data platforms, data catalogs, and business systems. • Develop GIS governance strategies, standards, and best practices for enterprise geospatial operations. • Ensure geospatial solutions align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, and Zero Trust requirements. • Evaluate emerging geospatial technologies and provide recommendations for adoption and implementation. • Support role-based access controls, data security, and compliance requirements across GIS environments. • Collaborate with developers, engineers, data teams, and stakeholders to deliver geospatial capabilities aligned with mission needs. • Support development, testing, production, and operations and maintenance (O&M) activities. • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, documentation, and guidance to GIS teams and stakeholders. • Support user training, knowledge transfer, and adoption of enterprise geospatial capabilities.
