City IT - Senior AWS Software Engineer (Integrations Team)
Requirements
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record in TypeScript development. • Extensive, hands on experience with AWS services in a serverless first, microservices oriented environment, including: • Compute: Lambda, ECS, Fargate • Storage and Data: S3, DynamoDB, RDS • Integration: API Gateway, AppSync, Step Functions, EventBridge • Security and Identity: IAM, Cognito • Networking: VPC, CloudFront, Route 53 • Hands on experience with CDK for defining cloud infrastructure as code. • Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using AWS tooling. • Proficiency with Git/GitLab for source control and team collaboration. • Experience designing and managing event driven systems for scalable, responsive applications. • Prior experience mentoring or supporting other engineers in a cross functional environment preferred. • Experience developing software solutions within the wholesale distribution, retail, supply chain, or other related industries is preferred. • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking, with the ability to design effective solutions in complex systems. • Clear, effective communicator who collaborates well across technical and non-technical teams. • Strong sense of ownership, particularly on critical or high-risk work. • Adaptable and eager to keep learning as technology and best practices evolve. • Strategic mindset, able to anticipate challenges before they become problems in integration and development work. • Interview Process: • Screening Call with Talent Acquisition Partner (30 minutes) • Culture, Values & Technical Interview via Microsoft Teams with the Global API & Integrations Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and Senior AWS Software Engineer (60 minutes) • Take-Home Technical Assessment (up to one week to complete)
