Requirements
• ACA qualified. • Strong audit background, beneficial to have FS experience. • Strong knowledge of IFRS, including experience of IFRS 2 & IFRS 9. • Ability to read and interpret accounting standards, regulatory guidelines, and legislation. • Experience exploring technical accounting matters and drafting technical papers. • Experience with SPV structures is beneficial. • Professional Memberships. • Learning Suite for e-courses. • Internal Training Programmes. • FCA & Regulatory training.
Responsibilities
• External Financial Reporting: • Assist with the preparation and review of external financial statements. • Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards. • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process. • Technical Financial Reporting: • Prepare and review technical accounting papers and accounting memos on complex IFRS areas including: IFRS 2, IFRS 9, IAS 38, Consolidation. • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with IFRS. • Internal Controls and Documentation: • Evaluate and improve internal controls over financial reporting. • Develop and document internal control procedures. • Ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures. • Month-End Preparation: • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts. • Provide support for the month-end close process. • Ad-Hoc Projects: • Ad-Hoc Projects: • Participate in various technical accounting projects as needed. • Provide expertise for special projects and initiatives. • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: • Act as a key liaison with Strategic Finance, FP&A and Legal teams. • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
