Requirements

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js required for designing clean, scalable service architectures with a minimum of 5+ years experience building and operating production backend systems. Experience integrating third-party APIs at scale (REST/GraphQL), including OAuth, JWT, API keys, rate limiting, and failure handling is preferred but not mandatory. • Understanding distributed systems concepts such as idempotency, background processing, eventual consistency, and observability with experience in relational databases like PostgreSQL for data modeling and performance trade-offs desired (not required). • Ability to write well-structured, testable, maintainable code. Experience raising engineering standards through code reviews, testing, and system improvements is preferred but not mandatory. • Ownership of systems in production with experience monitoring, debugging, improving resilience appreciated but not essential (not required). Comfort taking technical ownership and driving implementation end-to-end desired. Thrives in high-autonomy, high-expectation environments wanted. Experience in fintech or crypto domains is nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade TypeScript, bringing new integrations online and maintaining existing ones • Own the end-to-end process: scope, document, and test your code for reliability • Collaborate with Product and other engineers to make sure integrations meet customer needs • Map messy, evolving data models into unified schemas • Monitor health, resolve data inconsistencies, and proactively fix or improve integrations • Contribute to architecture decisions to enhance scalability and reliability • We’re looking for someone who • Has 5+ years of software development experience and confident working with TypeScript • Has hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs (REST, GraphQL) and wrangling with OAuth/JWT/auth flows • Brings clear communication—comfortable switching between technical and non-technical audiences • Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative teams • Has an analytical mindset, enjoys problem-solving, and is excited by crypto and fintech • Communicates fluently in English, written and spoken • Technical Interview (1 hour): Next, you'll join one of our tech leads for a live coding session and a Q&A; it's a great chance to show your skills and learn more about our technical challenges. • Team Interview (30 min): You’ll then meet with an engineer from your potential team and a product manager. This is an informal chat to help us get to know you better and to find out more about how you like to work with others. • Final Interview (30 min): To wrap things up, you’ll have a conversation with our CTO. This is a high-level discussion focused on making sure the role feels like the right fit for you.
