• Define requirements, set context and priorities, and report progress to leadership and the engineering organization. • Cross-Time-Zone Collaboration • Work seamlessly across multiple time zones (Brazil, Taiwan, US West Coast). • Travel • Travel • Periodically travel to support team members and/or work with customers. • Culture & Performance • Align very bright, high-performing individuals in a fast-paced startup environment, fostering a culture of excellence and ownership. • 3+ years of experience managing a team of software or firmware engineers at a high-growth company. • 7+ years of work experience in a software company. • Strong track record as a software engineer delivering production software products, ideally in embedded systems, computer vision, or industrial automation. • Strong technical depth and the ability to understand and engage deeply with complex technical details, even when not directly implementing the work. • Experience in setting up release structures, managing sprints, and measuring engineering performance. • 2+ years of experience in defining requirements, setting priorities, and reporting progress for leadership and teams. • Self-starter comfortable working across remote teams, managing ambiguity, and making decisions with incomplete information. • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. • Preferred (Pluses): • Preferred (Pluses): • Experience creating processes in a startup or rapid-growth setting. • Experience working in China and Mandarin proficiency.
