Requirements

  • 15+ years of Enterprise Technology experience in sales and account management within a payments organization.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing teams and a measurable track record of developing a team of high performing AEs & AMs.
  • Experience selling complex, multi-product technology platform solutions to Enterprise customers.
  • Industry expertise in Payments, Retail, Fintech and Banking, with an ability to influence in complex situations.
  • Track record of delivering YoY new logo bookings and successfully expanding in-year revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team tasked with solving new and novel financial products for F1000 organizations.
  • Grow Marqeta’s portfolio of largest and most strategic customers.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base.
  • Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers in enterprise organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, customer success) to align on customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Marqeta's solutions and effectively communicate value to clients.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer pain points to refine sales strategies.
  • Build a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and high-performing sales team by influencing the GTM strategy, hiring, team structure, culture, and sales processes.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment with key partner teams globally (Vetting, Delivery, GNSO, Sales Strategy & Operations).

  • Within our Revenue organization at Marqeta, On Target Earnings (OTE) is composed of a mix between annual salary and variable compensation, which is earned based on your individual performance and that of your immediate team.
  • When determining an OTE figure we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire OTE range for this position is:
  • National: $295,400 - $369,200
  • Premium: $319,700 - $399,600
  • Premium Plus: $347,400 - $434,300
