Requirements

• Experience working inside state government or an Attorney General's office or running state-level government affairs campaigns, ideally in a novel or contested regulatory environment • Deep familiarity with the political landscape of the Western US: California's regulatory complexity, the Pacific Northwest's legislative dynamics, and the varied politics across mountain and island states (one or all) • Proven ability to manage third parties • Strong instincts on policy language • Willingness to travel across the West (and New York - HQ - on occasion) • Meritocracy is at our core, and we value people who take ownership and figure (usually hard) things out. Responsibilities

• Own state policy strategy across your region: tracking the legislative calendar, identifying opportunities, and sequencing campaigns • Monitor regulatory developments and identify initiatives that affect Kalshi • Build and maintain relationships with elected and appointed officials, legislative committees, and state agencies to advocate for and educate them about Kalshi's product • Draft and shape policy language • Travel to priority states and be in the room when it matters
