Requirements

• 4+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI • A solid technical background, with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modelling • A firm understanding of and ability to discuss modern data warehousing architectures • Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment • A passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community • Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software company • Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt • Experience with Dimensional Modeling • Experience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Boomi, Talend, WhereScape) • A minimum requirement of at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field • If you are excited about this role and know that you could get there, but don’t have 100% of the qualifications listed above, please still apply! Responsibilities

• Work with customers through their dbt Cloud journey: from discovery, demos, & evaluations all the way through product adoption & expansion • Become an expert in a) designing enterprise-grade data pipelines in dbt Cloud and b) articulating the business value dbt Cloud accrues to customers • Collaborate with customer contacts to achieve architecture & security approval for dbt Cloud • Team across departments to build the dbt ecosystem and go-to-market motion (i.e. present at Marketing events, enable Partners, collaborate with Customer Support & Professional Services) • Act as the voice of the customer internally, e.g. surfacing customer feedback or weighing in on product roadmap • Closely align with our strategic partners (e.g. data platform providers or consulting partners) • Travel up to ~25% of the time (meeting prospects/customers in-person, plus team offsites / kickoffs) • Be an active member of the dbt community (e.g. publish blogs, attend dbt meetups, etc.)
