Requirements
• 7+ years in insurance, risk management, or related field (broker, carrier, captive manager) • Demonstrated sales or business development experience - not just account management • Existing relationships with captive managers or major brokers • Strong understanding of workers' comp, captives, and self-insured structures • Comfortable presenting to senior audiences and building executive relationships • Willingness to travel and work a startup pace • Working at CompScience
Responsibilities
• Oversee the sales team's performance across various regions to ensure targets are met consistently. • Develop strategies for expanding market share and increasing revenue within established markets as well as exploring new opportunities in emerging ones. • Build strong relationships with key clients, partners, suppliers, distributors, and other stakeholders through regular communication to ensure mutual success. • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify potential threats or growth areas for the company's products/services. • Collaborate closely with marketing department to align sales strategies based on promotional campaigns, product launches, pricing changes, etc. • Provide regular feedback and coaching sessions to individual team members to improve their performance and develop leadership skills within the organization. • Manage recruitment process for hiring new talent into the Sales department by identifying potential candidates through various channels such as job fairs or online platforms. • Participate in quarterly review meetings with senior management, providing updates on sales progress against targets to inform business decisions and strategies moving forward.
