BitGo - Associate General Counsel
Requirements
• Professionally qualified lawyer in Singapore or another major common law jurisdiction with exceptional academic credentials • Minimum of twelve years of experience with significant time spent leading regional matters in-house • Deep knowledge of the legal and regulatory environments across key APAC markets such as Southeast Asia Australia and Greater China • Proven track record of managing distributed legal teams and navigating complex multijurisdictional challenges successfully • Outstanding commercial acumen with an ability to balance strict legal compliance against fast-paced business growth • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills necessary to bridge regional operations with global headquarters
Responsibilities
• Formulate and execute the regional legal strategy aligned with overarching global business objectives • Serve as the primary legal advisor to the APAC leadership team on high-stakes commercial ventures and regional expansions • Oversee corporate governance regulatory compliance and government relations across all APAC markets • Guide the regional team through complex multijurisdictional regulatory landscapes including data privacy and financial frameworks • Manage disputes employment matters and corporate transactions within the region alongside external counsel • Recruit mentor and develop a high-performing team of legal professionals across regional hubs
