• Qualified solicitor/lawyer (3-7 PQE) with strong post-qualification experience either in-house or in private practice • Strong understanding of legal principles applicable to payments in the UK, including the payments ecosystem and payments regulatory and licensing strategy/execution, and to broader financial institutions • Previous FinTech, payments, software, e-commerce and/or bank experience is desirable but not essential • Experience working in a start up or other fast-paced and dynamic environment is desirable but not essential • Comfort with ambiguity, constant change, and a fast-paced culture • A practical, solutions-oriented focus to solving legal challenges • Experience working internationally and on a variety of cross-border matters • Excellent time management skills and experience managing a diverse workload and competing stakeholder demands • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as needed, flexing the approach as the matter requires • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate and explain complex legal issues clearly and concisely • Enthusiasm for new challenges and skilling up in different areas of law • It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible.
