Requirements
• They care about the ability to work independently, move fast with incomplete information, and deliver real value to educators — more than checking every box below. That said, here are the qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in software engineering • Strong experience with Python and Next.js (or React + TypeScript) • Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL preferred) • Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools — personal projects, side experiments, or tinkering absolutely count • Strong written and verbal communication in English • Comfortable working autonomously with loose requirements and iterating over time • Ability to deliver without a final design and adjust later • Experience building products using Generative AI / LLMs (e.g., prompt engineering, structured outputs, chained generation) • Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architecture • Experience working directly with Product Managers in small, fast-moving teams • Cool side projects that you'd like to show us! • Mission-driven: They're building technology that directly impacts early childhood educators and the children they serve. The work matters. • Ownership & autonomy: You won't be micromanaged. They trust you to make decisions, take initiative, and drive things forward — even when it's "not your job." • Comfort with ambiguity: Requirements evolve. Designs come later. They move, learn, iterate, and improve. If you need everything defined before you start, this isn't the right fit. • Supportive & human: They keep egos out of the workplace. They support each other, embrace their differences, and understand that each person brings their own unique strengths to the table. • Growth mindset: They look to magnify strengths, take chances, and always learn from mistakes.
Responsibilities
• Build AI-powered educator tools: Develop features like smart classroom insights, behavior coaching strategies, leadership hubs, and real-time support tools for teachers and directors • Work with structured LLM outputs: Design and maintain chained generation pipelines where each AI output feeds into the next • Ship fullstack features end-to-end: From database schema to API endpoint to React UI — you own it all • Architect for multi-tenancy: Build and improve a SaaS platform that serves multiple schools with proper data isolation • Collaborate with Product: Work directly with the AI Product Manager to refine requirements, propose solutions, and iterate quickly
Benefits
• Shape the future of early education: Help build the platform that transforms how thousands of educators get support in the classroom • Own the technical direction: As the primary engineer, you'll have real decision-making power over architecture, tooling, and implementation • Work at the frontier of AI in EdTech: Build chained LLM generation pipelines, structured AI outputs, and scheduled workflows — real AI engineering, not a wrapper around a chatbot • High autonomy, real impact: Small team, direct collaboration with Product and the CEO, and the freedom to move fast • Type: Contract engagement / CNPJ • Location: Fully remote — the team works from around the world • Reports to: CEO, working closely with the AI Product Manager • Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually • Your exact compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors that reflect your individual qualifications and how they align with the needs of the role
