Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience at a SaaS or technology company with a strong focus on UX engineering and design systems • Building complex, production-grade UIs with React and TypeScript. • Comfort with state management, routing, forms, and asynchronous data fetching (e.g., Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, or similar patterns). • Strong grasp of CSS-in-JS or modern styling approaches, component libraries, and design systems. • A focus on performance, accessibility, and responsive design. • Implementing REST or GraphQL APIs in Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or a similar web framework. • Working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and understanding how schema and query design affect performance. • Familiarity with service-oriented or microservice architectures, including how frontend and backend collaborate across service boundaries. • Ability to work closely with designers, PMs, and other engineers; you explain tradeoffs clearly and can drive decisions to closure • Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time, including delegating to other engineers and cross-team collaboration. • Experience using AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) as productivity tools, with a clear understanding of generated code and the ability to defend implementation choices. • Availability for participation in an on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours. • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time. • Autofill with MyGreenhouse

Well, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer  who will bring deep technical know-how, system design knowledge and a healthy dose of fun to the team. You will report to the Engineering Manager for the Scheduling group and will play a key role in designing and supporting the core features and architecture that underpin Calendly’s core product experience and maintain our users’ confidence. • A day in the life of a Full Stack Engineer at Calendly • The Calendly platform is a monolith that is being decomposed into various services in order for us to scale our platform and team. We need ambitious, experienced engineers who can help us drive this stage of growth. As an engineer at Calendly, you will both build new features and work to scale our platform and architecture. You will build tooling and automation to fine tune our delivery process as you grow into a service oriented specialist. In this role, you will spend the majority of your time coding and architecting systems, while simultaneously mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives. This position is designed for someone who has the "leadership itch" and wants to eventually transition into a Tech Lead Manager (TLM) role. • 8+ years of software development experience at a SaaS or technology company. • Experience leading small teams (1-4) or mentoring other engineers. • Professional experience with Ruby on Rails is nice to have. Experience with Node.js or a comparable web-app framework is also acceptable. • Professional experience with TypeScript. • Ability to adapt to new technologies, changing requirements, and evolving organizational needs. • Hands-on experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), microservices, and involvement in monolith-to-services modernization or large-scale refactoring initiatives. • Proven ability to own features end-to-end, including technical discovery, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance. • Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time, including delegating to other engineers and cross-team collaboration. • Experience using AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) as productivity tools, with a clear understanding of generated code and the ability to defend implementation choices. • Availability for participation in an on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours. • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time. • Ready to make a serious impact? All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Top Performer Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits. • Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.
