Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment • Experience purchasing direct materials or managing suppliers in a manufacturing setting • Familiarity with outsourced assemblies or contract manufacturing environments • Working knowledge of Incoterms, logistics, and international purchasing
Responsibilities
• Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and outsourced assemblies in line with production schedules • Communicate with suppliers to confirm order acknowledgements, delivery dates, and shipment details • Expedite or defer orders as needed to align with changing demand and production priorities • Monitor supplier performance on delivery and responsiveness, and escalate issues when required • Collaborate with planning, production, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and inventory accuracy • Support onboarding of new suppliers and contract manufacturers by setting up purchasing and transactional processes • Track and resolve supply issues, including shortages, delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies • Support cost control initiatives by identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency • Private healthcare via Bupa with 24/7 medical helpline • Income protection • Pension: 4+% employee with option to opt into salary exchange, 5% employer • Employee Assistance Programme - mental wellbeing, financial and legal advice/support • 25 holidays per year • Full meals onsite in Wallingford • Fun team events on and offsite, snacks of all kinds in the office • AAP/EEO Statement • AAP/EEO Statement
