Requirements
• 3 years or more of industry experience in backend development and distributed systems • Comfortable establishing guidelines and refactoring existing code to follow best practices • Knowledge of database design and API development • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor others • Experience with Python, FastAPI, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD • Knowledge of geospatial data and coordinate systems • Experience automating complex workflows (Airflow) • $172,000 - $250,000 a year
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain full stack applications for HD mapping services using a variety of programming languages including JavaScript, Python, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, etc. • Implement AI tools to support parts of the hiring process such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses (Note: This is not an explicit job responsibility but rather part of company processes.) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management and designers for feature development. • Ensure high performance and scalability in the application to handle large volumes of data efficiently. • Continuously monitor, test, and optimize code quality using best practices such as unit testing, integration testing, etc. • Troubleshoot issues related to system stability or user experience promptly. • Stay updated with latest technologies and industry trends relevant to full stack development in the context of HD mapping services.
Benefits
• There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
