Requirements

Responsibilities
• Use your knowledge, skills, and instincts to review customer account activity and support our Member Services and Operations Teams to resolve customer issues quickly, applying a Financial Crime perspective. • Ensure adherence to AML and Global Sanctions requirements, as well as internal policies and standards. • Work to ensure that the business fraud cost is kept to an optimal level, whilst minimising the impact on genuine customers. • Manage the execution of complex investigations arising from transaction monitoring alerts, internal escalations, and external referrals. • Conduct financial crime data analysis and investigations across a range of datasets, identifying suspicious activity, emerging typologies and systemic risks. • Review inbound UK chargebacks and provide Financial Crime assessment (1st vs 3rd party classifications), appealing decisions as appropriate. • Complete Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) & Sanctions Reviews: Ensure timely and rigorous screening is undertaken on potential PEPs and sanctions matches; escalating any potential sanctions matches to the MLRO. • Manage the efficient and timely reporting of suspicious activity (SARs), ensuring compliance with regulations and the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA). • Action DPA requests • Develop knowledge of processes, regulations, and applicable law regulations on credit card fraud and fraud recovery through research of internal/external resources. • 2–3 years of experience within fraud analytics, AML, financial crime, risk analytics within a financial services environment. • Strong understanding of all types of payments fraud, AML, CTF, KYC and internal fraud practices. • Hands-on experience in conducting deep-dive investigations into suspicious transactions and familiarity with financial crime detection tools. • A strong ability to recognise patterns and anomalies, with a confident approach to decision-making. • Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to identify emerging trends in market abuse and financial crime typologies and propose control enhancements. • Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously while working under high pressure and tight timelines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, forward-thinking mindset. • A proven ability to work closely across multiple departments in a collaborative manner. • Fluent in English, with excellent spoken and written communication skills. • Well-organized with good time-management and basic Excel skills (training will be provided as needed).
