Requirements
• Must have over 8 years of deep tax experience, ideally blending "Big 4" training with high-growth in-house experience within the Fintech or Financial Services sectors. • You should possess expert-level technical knowledge of International Tax principles and the MENA / APAC Corporate Tax regim • A strategic communicator capable of distilling complex tax provisions into clear, actionable advice for non-tax stakeholders without sacrificing technical precision. • Maintains a hands-on, proactive mentality, with a willingness to dive into spreadsheets and legislative text to ensure high-quality delivery and maintain technical edge. • Ideally you hold a recognized professional tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent) and demonstrate the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments where commercial intuition is as vital as technical research. • It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible. Responsibilities
• Act as a dedicated regional tax partner to MENA and APAC leadership, providing clear and actionable guidance on the tax consequences of commercial decisions and new market entries. • Collaborate closely with the Global Tax team in London to ensure regional strategies align with group goals, particularly regarding OECD Pillar Two and global cash tax management. • Lead high-impact strategic projects, such as restructuring for international expansion or assessing the tax impact of innovative fintech products, while translating complex legislation into clear risks and opportunities for senior executives. • Take full ownership of the direct tax lifecycle for our regional entities, including leading the transition and ongoing compliance for new UAE Corporate Tax regime. • Design, implement, and maintain robust regional transfer pricing policies and manage the end-to-end tax reporting processes to ensure total accuracy in regional tax provisions. • Drive operational excellence by building automated systems to streamline the tax function and leading all relationships with regional tax authorities to manage audits with a proactive, technical approach.
