Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in architectural or engineering design for data centers or mission-critical facilities • Strong knowledge of EMEA building codes, permitting processes, and construction practices • Experience managing external design consultants and multi-disciplinary design teams • Track record delivering complex technical designs on schedule and budget • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across regional and global teams • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or related field • Professional accreditation (e.g., RIBA, chartered engineer) a plus • Willingness to travel across the EMEA region as needed
Responsibilities
• Lead architectural and engineering design for data center projects across the EMEA region • Coordinate with global design standards teams (Mechanical, Power, Structural) to ensure consistency across regions • Manage relationships with regional architecture, engineering, and design consultants • Review and approve design packages, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations • Partner with Site Delivery and Land Acquisition teams to align designs with site-specific constraints • Support value engineering efforts to optimize cost and construction timelines • Lead design reviews with internal stakeholders and external partners • Stay current on regional building codes, sustainability requirements, and construction practices
