Requirements
• J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record; active membership in at least one U.S. state bar. • Minimum of 4-8 years of legal experience with a focus on technology and product counseling, ideally gained at a top-tier law firm (e.g., an AmLaw 100) or in-house at a software/tech-focused company. • Strong background in commercial contracting and tech transactions. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including excellent negotiation, drafting and analytical skills. • Strong business acumen and the ability to provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Review and negotiate commercial contracts for all business functions, including: software licensing and SaaS agreements, vendor agreements, service level/support agreements, distribution agreements, DPAs, and other partnership agreements. • Provide legal advice to support business partners across the company, including working closely with the business and product team on new product launches. • Contribute to Vetcove’s privacy program by drafting and negotiating DPAs and advising the business teams on compliance with data privacy laws and regulations, including consumer data collection, use and disclosures. • Develop and maintain terms of service, terms of use, disclaimers, and other customer facing documentation. • Assess and mitigate legal risks associated with new features, updates, and product launches. • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement legal strategies that align with business goals.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. For Colorado, the salary range is: $140,000 - $170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. This salary range is a good faith estimate of what Vetcove may pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The range reflects the base hourly rate or annual compensation (as applicable), and does not include bonus, equity or other incentives.
