Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field • 2–4 years of professional or equivalent hands‑on experience in game or gameplay development • Demonstrated experience building game content, mods, add‑ons, or extensions for moddable game platforms • Strong scripting experience (TypeScript or JavaScript preferred), particularly in gameplay or content systems • Hands‑on experience with gameplay logic, entity/item definitions, configuration files, and scripting APIs • Experience designing, developing, and delivering projects from concept through completion • Familiarity with iterative and agile development methodologies • Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, functional gameplay solutions • Direct experience creating content for Minecraft‑style platforms (Bedrock‑style scripting, behavior packs, resource packs, or similar systems) • A portfolio showcasing playable game content such as mini‑games, custom maps, add‑ons, or marketplace‑ready submissions • Strong understanding of gameplay design principles and player experience • Experience writing clear technical documentation, tutorials, or walkthroughs for developers • Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows • Ability to create demo videos or visual walkthroughs explaining gameplay mechanics or technical concepts
Responsibilities
• In this role, you will support a creator‑focused game development platform by building high‑quality example content, tooling, and documentation that enable developers to create custom gameplay experiences. You’ll work hands‑on with game systems, scripting, and content pipelines to demonstrate new platform features through polished, playable examples such as mini‑games, custom mechanics, or interactive environments. • This position blends gameplay engineering with a creator mindset—you’ll think like a game designer while maintaining strong engineering discipline around code quality, documentation, and maintainability. Your work will directly influence how external developers learn, adopt, and succeed on the platform. • Design, develop, and implement polished gameplay content that demonstrates platform capabilities and new features • Create example projects such as mini‑games, custom gameplay scenarios, and interactive environments to showcase best practices • Develop and maintain scripts, configuration files, and content definitions to support custom gameplay systems • Translate complex technical or platform requirements into clear, working gameplay examples • Contribute to technical documentation, tutorials, and internal guidance that support external creators • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to validate and refine gameplay experiences • Analyze gameplay behavior and technical performance to ensure quality, stability, and usability • Follow iterative and agile development processes, adapting quickly to evolving requirements • Ensure code, content, and tools meet quality, security, and compliance standards

Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
