Requirements
• Background: Master degree in law, a bar admission is a plus. • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in a law firm or tech company with IT law and specifically privacy law/GDPR compliance expertise. • Knowledge of privacy regulations and guidance from national supervisory authorities as well as the EDPB (European Data Protection Board). • Understanding of artificial intelligence technologies and their applications, particularly in relation to GDPR compliance. • Solution oriented approach with identifying compliance issues and developing effective strategies for resolutions. • Good project management skills. • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex legal/technical AI issues related to privacy concerns.
Responsibilities
• Provide legal advice on privacy matters related to AI and technology within the company's operations in France. • Review and analyze compliance with French data protection laws for all current and future projects involving personal data processing by Mistral AI technologies. • Collaborate with IT, product development teams, and other stakeholders on privacy impact assessments (PIAs) to ensure that new products or services adhere to legal standards before launching them in the market. • Monitor regulatory developments related to data protection laws at both national and international levels and advise management accordingly for strategic planning purposes. • Represent Mistral AI as a privacy advocate within industry events, conferences, or discussions on emerging legal issues concerning artificial intelligence in France.
