Requirements
• You’re an experienced B2B SaaS Product Manager who knows how to navigate complexity, align stakeholders, and ship meaningful products in technical environments. But this role goes beyond owning a roadmap or driving individual initiatives. • At CoLab’s stage, we need PMs who actively help level up the product organization itself — shaping how we work, improving product processes, introducing best practices, and raising the bar for cross-functional collaboration and decision making. You won’t succeed here by operating in a silo. The strongest PMs at CoLab are deeply engaged with the broader team and care as much about improving the system around them as they do about delivering their own work. • You may not be a mechanical engineer — and that’s okay. What matters most is your ability to quickly build domain understanding, ask thoughtful questions, and work effectively with highly technical teams and customers. • 5+ years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS environments. • Proven experience working on technically complex software products. • Strong product thinking, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and design teams throughout the product development lifecycle. • Ability to learn complex technical domains quickly and confidently. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Experience working with enterprise customers is considered an asset. • Experience in CAD, PLM, engineering software, manufacturing, or other technical industries is a bonus • Extra Details • This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive compensation package that includes stock options. • This role offers an extended health and benefits package that includes unlimited paid vacation and RRSP matching. • Our main office location is in St. John’s, NL where we offer hybrid and remote opportunities. • This role has the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in North America. • Equity Note • Frequently cited statistics show that people who identify with historically marginalized groups are likely to apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We encourage you to help us break that statistic and apply even if you don’t meet every single qualification—your potential is what matters most to us.
Responsibilities
• You’ve managed complex B2B SaaS products with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and technical constraints. • You’re comfortable working closely with engineers and can hold your own in technical conversations without needing to be the deepest technical expert in the room. • You’re highly curious and enjoy diving into unfamiliar domains until you truly understand customer workflows and pain points. • You know how to balance customer needs, business goals, and technical realities when making product decisions. • You communicate clearly and directly. You can simplify complexity without oversimplifying the problem. • You’re energized by hard problems. The average person might think this role sounds overwhelming — if it sounds exciting instead, you’ll probably thrive here. • You likely won’t enjoy this role if: • You prefer highly defined problem spaces with clear answers. • You avoid technical ambiguity or struggle to build credibility with engineering teams. • You see product management primarily as backlog management or feature delivery coordination. • Own and evolve the product strategy and roadmap for the Build Engineering Reviews team. • Partner closely with engineering and design to deliver thoughtful, scalable product experiences for engineering teams. • Build deep understanding of mechanical engineering review workflows and customer pain points. • Conduct customer research and work directly with users to uncover opportunities and validate solutions. • Translate complex technical and workflow challenges into clear product direction and priorities. • Write clear product requirements that help teams understand both the problem and desired outcome. • Drive alignment across product, engineering, customer success, and go-to-market teams. • Use data, customer feedback, and product intuition to make informed prioritization decisions. • Help the team balance short-term customer needs with long-term product strategy and platform scalability.
