Requirements
• 8+ years delivering complex software systems and getting large scale user adoption • Deep expertise in modern web applications and distributed systems • Strong collaboration skills - you work closely with Product to ideate features, advise on trade-offs, and iterate on what we've built • Experience with Python and TypeScript (we value versatility and broad knowledge over memorizing PEPs) • Proven ability to design and implement cloud-based system architectures • Knowledge of IaC/Terraform and modern CI/CD practices • Bonus: experience with data-intensive systems • Bonus: experience building SaaS and enterprise applications
Responsibilities
• Partner with our Head of Engineering to design architecture and implement the most challenging parts of our system • Take full ownership of projects from conception to delivery - you'll drive initiatives forward without waiting to be told what to do • Collaborate with Product Managers to define new projects, plan work, and advise on technical feasibility • Work across teams - whether that's Sales, Customer Success, or Carbon Team - to understand needs and deliver solutions that work in the real world • Mentor engineers and help level up the team through code review, technical discussions, and setting engineering standards • Be comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities - startup life means adapting quickly while keeping the big picture in mind
