Popl Co - Senior Backend Engineer
Requirements
• Minimum of 4+ years of Backend Experience. • Proficient in Node.js and TypeScript technologies. • Familiarity with AWS/Google Cloud services is required. • Knowledgeable about SQL databases and RESTful APIs development. • Must be detail oriented, as it's a must for the role. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, deploy, maintain, optimize backend systems for web applications using various programming languages such as Java/Scala, Python, Node.js etc. • Collaborate with frontend and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of the backends into user interfaces or APIs. • Implement caching strategies to improve application performance under high load conditions. • Monitor backend systems using various tools for uptime assurance, error detection, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. • Write unit tests and perform code reviews to ensure quality of the backends developed by themselves or their team members. • Participate in architectural decision making regarding scalability, security, reliability, performance optimization etc., for backend systems based on business requirements. • Document APIs using appropriate tools like Swagger/OpenAPI specifications and maintain documentation as per company standards to ensure consistency across the engineering teams.
