Requirements

• Strong communication skills. • Ability to contribute and work well with a team. • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or related field. • 8+ years of progressive experience in transmission and/or distribution line engineering. • Advanced proficiency in PLS CADD; experience with PLS POLE and PLS TOWER is strongly preferred. • Demonstrated experience leading projects and performing detailed engineering calculations. • Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Experience working with utility clients and applicable industry standards. • The typical annual salary range for this role is as listed below. Compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, and qualifications. Employees in this role may be eligible for our performance‑based bonus and merit increases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and design of transmission and distribution line projects, with a strong emphasis on PLS‑CADD modeling and analysis. • Develop and review transmission line layouts, structure loading, sag‑tension calculations, and clearance analyses. • Serve as a technical resource and mentor for engineers and designers, providing guidance, QA/QC, and design oversight. • Coordinate with internal disciplines (substation, civil, environmental, right‑of‑way) to deliver integrated solutions. • Interface directly with clients, utilities, and project stakeholders to define scope, schedule, and technical approach. • Review and stamp engineering deliverables as appropriate. • Participate in field visits, constructability reviews, and support during construction as needed. • Contribute to process improvement, standards development, and best practices within the Transmission & Distribution group. • Receive a competitive 401(k) match • Be empowered to build your career with tailored development paths • Have the possibility for flexible work arrangements • Engage in work that has a positive impact on communities • Participate in a wellness program promoting balanced lifestyles • In addition, full-time employees will receive our traditional benefits package (health care, vision, dental, paid time off, etc.) and the opportunity to participate in a bonus system that rewards performance.
