Moniepoint - Senior Backend Engineer (Java)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. • 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on backend development. • Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with a solid grasp of modern backend architecture and engineering best practices. • Proven experience designing, building, and scaling web services, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems. • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. • Strong proficiency with relational databases and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate). • Exposure to frontend technologies such as AngularJS or React is a plus. • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities, with a structured approach to problem-solving. • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset. • As part of our engineering team, you’ll work with modern technologies and tools that enable us to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing systems.
