Requirements
• Solid knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript. • Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases. • Frontend experience with Angular, or other modern frameworks like Vue or React. • Strong communication skills and a product-focused mindset. • A passion for games and/or the business of gaming. • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment. • A track record of side projects, experiments, or open-source contributions. • Interest in building things from 0 to 1—and being part of a long-term product vision.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain full stack applications for the VGI team's projects using a variety of programming languages relevant to our technology stack. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, designers, QA engineers, data scientists, etc., ensuring seamless integration between frontend/backend systems and databases. • Implement robust error handling mechanisms within applications for improved reliability under various conditions. • Optimize application performance by profiling code and identifying bottlenecks to enhance user experience through faster load times and responsive interfaces. • Contribute to the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, ensuring smooth delivery of updates with minimal downtime for users. • Monitor system health using tools like New Relic or Datadog; proactively identify issues before they impact end-users and escalate them accordingly. • Document codebase effectively to ensure maintainability by the team in future iterations, including writing clear inline comments where necessary. • Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to full stack development within our industry sector (e.g., cloud computing advancements) for potential integration into projects or presentations at company meetings/conferences.
