Olo - Principal Software Engineer, Order
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent. • At least 15 years of software engineering experience with deep .NET stack expertise. • Mastery over system architecture for large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems (Kafka, microservices, Kubernetes/EKS). • Proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps: AWS and Terraform; advanced CI/CD skills with tools like Jenkins or GitLab. • Experience as a Technical Leader capable of guiding engineers at all levels through mentorship. • Ability to influence strategically, collaborate effectively with senior leadership on technical roadmaps aligning business goals. • Innovation and technology assessment skills for evaluating and piloting new technologies within the organization.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain software systems to support the business needs of Olo's cookie policy platform in Belfast, Northern Ireland. This includes working on full-time remote projects related to Order Cookie Policy and DenyAccept functionalities. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, designers, QA engineers, etc., for the development of software systems that aligns with business goals while ensuring user experience is top notch in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, security, and privacy compliance as per Olo's cookie policy. • Participate actively in code reviews to ensure quality standards are met consistently across the team’s work products by adhering strictly to coding conventions established within our organization for maintainable and scalable software systems development lifecycle (SDLC). • Engage with customers, stakeholders, or end users directly when necessary through various communication channels such as emails, phone calls, meetings etc., in order to understand their needs better.
