GitLab - Intermediate Backend Engineer - Analytics Instrumentation

• Experience working with platform or infrastructure systems in production environments. • Proficiency in the Go programming language, with experience building and maintaining production services. • Backend development experience, with the ability to contribute to scalable, reliable systems serving internal and external customers. • Familiarity with infrastructure concerns such as system reliability, performance at scale, data quality, and observability. • Experience working in cross-functional teams with product teams, data consumers, and other internal stakeholders across team boundaries. • Familiarity with cloud native technologies and open source development practices. • The Analytics Instrumentation team operates at the intersection of Product, Analytics and customer facing teams, providing data collection infrastructure that serves engineering teams across GitLab. We're a distributed team of generalist engineers who tackle complex problems spanning the GitLab codebase, JS, Go and Python satellite services, data pipelines, and AI tool integration.
