Requirements
• Technical Background • Hands-on experience as a data center technician, ideally in a hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation environment. • Working knowledge of critical infrastructure systems including electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, and associated monitoring and control systems. • Solid understanding of system design and sequence of operations (SOO). • Familiarity with data center industry best practices for safety, security, availability, and reliability. • Ability to take complex technical information and turn it into clear, usable content for technicians at varying experience levels. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to give direct, constructive feedback on documentation. • Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders including technicians, engineers, trainers, vendors, and leadership. • Mindset and Approach • Detail-oriented with a quality and governance mindset. • Confident in reviewing content and requesting changes based on operational risk and accuracy. • Collaborative, pragmatic, and safety-focused. • Experience reviewing technical documents or training content is a plus, not a requirement. • This role requires approximately 30-40% travel to Serverfarm data center sites across the US. • Serverfarm is committed to providing an equal opportunity workplace and offers paid time off, paid holidays, 401k and FULL coverage medical, dental and vision.
