Khan Academy - Content Intern, Chemistry ($42/hour; 40 hours/week; 8 weeks, Summer 2026)

• Passion for education and instructional design • You are motivated by the Khan Academy mission “to provide a free world-class education for anyone, anywhere.” • You possess deep knowledge and expertise in Chemistry. • You bring 2+ years of experience teaching Chemistry at the K-12 or university level, giving you a deep empathy with learners, teachers and classrooms. • You're able to harness creativity, empathy, and pragmatism to design learning experiences that are standards-aligned and lead to positive learning outcomes, even within the resource, curricular, and technology constraints of today’s classrooms. • You are committed to equity and to delivering engaging and meaningful learning experiences to all learners, particularly those in historically underrepresented groups or communities. • Strong execution and collaboration • You can connect your day-to-day work to larger departmental, school, or district-wide goals while also paying close attention to details to ensure that your work is clear, concise, and error-free. • You’re an adept project manager who can break a complex task into manageable pieces and track your progress towards a goal or outcome. You stay organized even when there are multiple tasks to complete. • You’re kind, collaborative, and a strong communicator; you can successfully share, solicit, and act on feedback. You can sum up complex ideas and communicate them to a variety of audiences. • You have proven cross-cultural competency skills, demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of others, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout an organization. • Interest and availability • You relish classroom teaching but are curious about careers in content creation within the educational technology space and are eager to learn more through an authentic full-time summer experience. • You are available to participate in an 8-week full-time remote internship program between the end of your 2025-26 school year and the start of your 2026-27 school year and are also available to share out your summer work at a remote event in August 2026.
