Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field, plus 7 years experience in high-volume optical transceiver and/or laser manufacturing. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • In-depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience in design, development, selection, implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, and methodologies for the optical assemblies. • Expert in one or more of the optical transceiver assembly processes, such as wire bond, die bond, active optical alignment, product testing, burn-in, etc. • Expertise in data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and report generation. • In depth understanding of the quality management system and quality standard requirements. • Data query and data analysis skills with using statistical tool and techniques • Expertise in optics FA processes and tools. • Ability to work well in a geographically diverse cross-functional team. • Good command in English communication both verbal and written, including in-person and virtual presentation skills.
Responsibilities
• Define, develop, prove and deploy the manufacturing process for new products. • Implement continuous improvement projects to achieve product yield, throughput, efficiency, scrap and quality targets. • Manufacture process documentation reviewing and approving processes implemented on production line. • End-to-end ownership of changes in product, processes, materials following established QMS requirements. • Collaborate with design engineering teams to execute improvements for manufacturing processes while ensuring DFM guidelines are met. • Coordinate qualification testing planning and execution with the quality team. • Prepare process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information trends. • Automate all applicable aspects of the manufacturing processes where possible. • Engage in equipment selection for statement of purpose development; work closely with suppliers to develop algorithms, machine hardware, software from buy-off to release in manufacturing.
